Cuauhtemoc Blanco Claims His Future Is Still Uncertain
Cuauhtemoc Blanco said he has not yet decided on a club despite reports that Irapuato had already agreed with Blanco on a deal.
Although Irapuato officials were adamant about the impending acquisition of Cuauhtemoc Blanco, the three-time World Cup veteran said things were not quite there yet.
"There is nothing definitive regarding the team for which I will play," Blanco said via Twitter. "When the situation is defined I'll let you all know."
Blanco and Irapuato have not come to an accord. Irapuato came on as a surprise player in the chase for Blanco, who was also linked with America of Mexico and Chicago of MLS.
After the 2009 MLS season, Blanco left Chicago for Mexico when he joined Veracruz of the Liga de Ascenso. Veracruz officials, though, have already announced Blanco is not an option for them any more.
