At the age of 14, she had dropped out of her acting classes and dreamed of becoming a funeral director. During this period, she wore black, dyed her hair purple and went out moshing with her live-in boyfriend. Two years later, after the relationship had ended, she rented an apartment above a garage a few blocks from her mother's home. She returned to theatre studies and graduated from high school, though in recent times she has referred to this period with the observation, "I am still at heart-and always will be-just a punk kid with tattoos".
Though she made her screen debut as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in the 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out, Jolie's acting career began in earnest a decade later with the low-budget production Cyborg 2 (1993). Her first leading role in a major film was in Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999). Jolie achieved wider fame after her portrayal of video game heroine Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and since then has established herself as one of the best-known and highest-paid actresses in Hollywood. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, as well as three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
Surely the most popular tattooed female celebrity in the world today has to be Angelina Jolie. This gifted actress, who is blessed with stunning good looks, has at the very least, a dozen tattoos, and shows no signs of slowing down her collecting. Her tattoos are a reflection of her personality, exotic and with more than just a hint of dangerous sensuality. This is a babe with an edge and a true ink aficionado. A woman who professes she likes to play with knives in bed and had the name of the man she loved tattooed on her. And when he exits stage left, she doesn't hesitate to have it lasered off just as quickly.
"I collected knives and always had certain things around. For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me."
Jolie has hundreds of web sites dedicated to her worship and her popularity shows no signs of waning as she continues to put her own personal spin on the genre of female action-stars.
The story of the tattoos that are draped on the body of box office hitmaker and baby mama Angelina Jolie are a story in themselves, but this week one artist is spilling on a session with Jolie that was a bit girly. It doesn't include Brad Pitt but there is a bit on Angie's former husband Billy Bob Thornton and Jolie's tan lines.
According to a Life & Style Weekly report, "famed celebrity tattoo artist Friday Jones - who once gave Angelina Jolie a tat in a very private place - is opening Friday Jones Fifth Avenue at Senses NY Salon & Spa on June 16."
She spoke with the magazine. "I always thought we could have a more serene, spiritually driven approach to tattooing," Friday, who notes that Angelina was one of her inspirations for the posh-parlor concept, tells Life & Style. "I met Angie right around 2000. She was this edgy, avant-garde girl. She would pull up to the house and say, 'I'm jonesing for a tattoo - you have to tattoo me.' And we're up in the house in the Hollywood Hills, she has her little glass of wine, it's very calm. It's a good atmosphere to stretch out and feel like girls."
But the item notes when Angelina, 34, asked Friday to mark her with the name of then-lover Billy Bob Thornton, Friday did have some reservations, she admits. "I was like, 'I'm not going to put that man's name on you,'" she says. "Eventually, after about two or three weeks of her coming over every day, I broke down. We put his name very delicately on her bikini line." Angelina Jolie had the cross tattoo done the day before she married Johnny Lee Miller in 1995. In her own words: "It was all symbolic, and it was a good thing, nothing dark." One of her latest tattoos is on her inner thigh done... "Um, it's for Brad".

Kim Saigh Tattoo
A fanatical yoga practitioner, tattoo artist Kim Saigh takes a lot of the teachings of the discipline and puts it into her art. Allegorical and illustrative works that express movement and flow dominate Kim's portfolio. Tattooing professionally for 16 years, Kim first got her start in her native Cleveland, moving to Chicago and opening her first shop a few years later. Kim now splits her time between LA and Chicago but always has her black Persian cat, Geezer with her.
Kim loves narrative tattoos and is very influenced by fairy tale art, anything Asian, gods & goddesses. The art nouveau movement was a large influence in her artwork and her tattoos, you will notice the presence of the shapes of this period in allot of her work.
At her interview with Inked Magazine she states, "I was a total metalhead. I still am-always will be. When I really started listening to music and listening to metal, it kind of lit a fire under my ass. My mom was super religious, and I remember she would watch 700 Club and these televangelists, these shows on backward-masking and how heavy metal was evil and all this stuff. I was probably 8 or 9, and I remember them showing the cover of Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath and being totally haunted by that image seeing it on TV and not being scared of it at all, just wanting to hear it."
Kim grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland in a town called Westlake. It was very white collar, right wing, conservative. Everybody was Republican. "I was just a troublemaker, a lost sort of kid. In high school I started thinking that being a tattoo artist might be something I'd be good at. About a year after high school I walked into a tattoo shop with a friend I had drawn a design for, and the guys at the shop really liked it. They offered me an apprenticeship. Britney Spears tattoos

Britney Spears has some Kabbalah symbols on the back of her neck. It is suppose to translate to "healing". But there has been many reports claiming that the three symbols are out of order so her tattoo doesn't really mean anything. She has a fairy on her lower back, a small daisy circling her second toe on right foot, a butterfly leaving a vine on left foot, and a flower with Chinese symbol for mystery in middle on lower stomach. Spears has three Hebrew characters on the back of her neck - her Kabala connection - and a pair of pink dice inside left wrist, in addition to a small star on her right hand. During her recent meltdown she added two more tattoos, red and pink lips on her wrist, and a black, white and pink cross on lower hip. Other body modifications include a pierced belly button and right nipple.

Megan Fox tattoo
"Every time I get a tattoo, it's a little fuck-you to anyone who tells me not to. I like the way getting a tattoo feels. It's weird to be part of Hollywood, which tries to control every aspect of people, from what they say to the color of their hair. And I like the way getting a tattoo feels. If I'm depressed, it's nice to get one and deal with the pain. I have one all the way down to my ribs. It hurt, but it felt good like twisting a loose tooth. I'm not kidding when I say that if I ever lose a role because of my tattoos, I'll quit Hollywood and go to work at Costco." "Everyone hates them because people are so closed-minded about tattoos"
"That's something I have found. People who don't like me as far as fans go, always talk about how I'm trashy because I have tattoos. I find that insane. This is 2010 not 1950. Tattoos aren't limited to sailors.""
"It's a form of art and it's one of the oldest forms of art. I find them beautiful so I'm going to keep doing it. I'm not going to let something like that stop me."
Regrettable Tattoo Choice
The 24-year-old, who recently said the relationship is currently off, told Australia's Famous magazine: "I have the name Brian tattooed on my body." Talking about her skin art, she said: "I'm a little reckless every once in a while." She adds, "But at the same time it's so easy to get tattoos removed now. Plus, it's such a light, small and delicate tattoo. I've looked into getting it removed just out of curiosity and it would only be $200 to remove.”
Actress Megan Fox regrets asking a stoned tattooist to craft a tribal design on her arm - because it turned into nothing but a messy mark. Fox is now taking steps to get the tattoo removed and insists she'll take more care when she picks skin artists in the future.
The Transformers star says, "The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn't do it correctly. Now it's nothing and I'm gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn't on his game that night. He was distracted."
Fox had better luck with her first tattoo - an image of her heroine Marilyn Monroe: "She was one of the first people I saw on television, like, literally moments after I was born. Every time I heard her voice growing up I always would cry. I wouldn't know why when I was younger but had my own theories. I've just always empathized with her."
Megan explains some of her tats... A poem I wrote on my ribcage a line on my shoulder "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies" from Shakespear's King Lear and a symbol for strength on my neck, and my boyfriend Brian's name tattooed next to my pie. She also has Marilyn Monroe on her forearm, a star on her ankle.
Her newest tattoo is a quote from Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche - And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. Fox stated "I actually got a tattoo this is sort of in honor of [Mickey Rourke]. It's on my ribs. I don't know if it's been photographed yet, but it'll come out eventually, I'm sure. I just love him very much and think he's very special."
Megan Fox is planning to add to her tattoo collection - by completely covering one of her arms with a "sleeve". The sexy Transformers star already has at least 8 tattoos - Fox said: "I'm going to sleeve my arm."

Barker has since established himself as a versatile drummer, producing and making guest appearances in music projects of numerous music genres including hip–hop, punk rock, alternative rock, ska, pop and even country. He has gained significant acceptance within the hip-hop community in particular and often collaborates with artists to compose rock-tinged remixes to their songs.
He founded clothing company Famous Stars and Straps in 1999 and LaSalle Records in 2004. Companies such as DC Shoes and Zildjian cymbals have co–designed products in his name.
Barker's marriage to former Miss USA Shanna Moakler was featured in MTV's Meet the Barkers (2005–2006). His marriage and personal life have been considerable media fodder following his divorce and a brief relationship with Hilton Hotel heiress Paris Hilton in 2006. In early 2009, Barker and Moakler decided to get back together. On April 1, 2009, reps for both Barker and Moakler confirmed they had split following an argument at their home which required police attention. The argument was said to be caused after Barker confronted Moakler about her allegedly having an affair with Gerard Butler while he was recovering from his plane crash. Moaklers reps deny any reports of an affair.

beckham new tattoo
David Beckham looked decidedly fed-up on the sidelines of yet another Real Madrid game yesterday. But it appears he has spent the extra time off the pitch getting a new addition to his tattoo collection.
The former England captain, who already has nine tattoos on his back, arms and neck, showed off the latest ink drawing on his right forearm.
It appears to be a continuation of the angel and clouds scene he already has further up his arm.
Let's hope he checked the two halfs match up. David had his wife's name inscribed on his arm in Hindi because he thought it would be "tacky" to be written in English. Unfortunately it was misspelt 'Vihctoria.'
Beckham has his sons' names and a Guardian Angel tattooed on his back
David has also had both his son's names, Brooklyn and Romeo, tattooed on his back...in English.
