Day 8 : A Song That Match Your Mood

I know not many of you have heard this band or songs before, but actually, these guys are famous.

A band from Iceland. Sigur Ros.

I started listening to them since 7 to 8 years ago.

Everytime I feel down or frustrated or... dunno. Like, feeling crappy or whatever, I'll listen to Sigur Ros. Their songs make me feel "alive" and sort of calming me down (although I dunno what the lyrics are saying hihihi). It's their music... the melody... everything.

Currently, I'm listening over and over again, these two songs from their fourth album - Takk....

Hoppipolla and Saeglopur.

Most of their songs are sung in Vonlenska or Hopelandic. So, actually, most of their songs tak ada lirik. But, just for the sake untuk share something, I google-ed Hoppipolla and Saeglopur lyrics and ada orang dah buat translation for both songs. So, here they are -

Saeglopur

Sæglópur, á lífi
Kominn heim
Sæglópur, á lífi
Kominn heim
þaõ kemur kafari
Komin heim
þaõ kemur kafari
Komin heim

(English)

A lost seafarer, alive
Has returned home
A lost seafarer, alive
Has returned home
A diver comes
Has returned home
A diver comes
Has returned home

Hoppipolla :

Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla from Sigur Rós on Vimeo.

Brosandi
Hendumst í hringi
Höldumst í hendur
Allur heimurinn óskýr
Nema þú stendur

Rennblautur
Allur rennvotur
Engin gúmmístígvél
Hlaupandi í okkur ?
Vill springa út úr skel

Vindur í
Og útilykt ? af hárinu þínu
Ég lamdi eins fast og ég get
Með nefinu mínu
Hoppa í poll
Í engum stígvélum
Allur rennvotur(rennblautur)
Í engum stígvélum

Og ég fæ blóðnasir
En ég stend alltaf upp
(Hopelandish)

Og ég fæ blóðnasir
En ég stend alltaf upp
(Hopelandish)

(English)

(Jumpin' Puddles)

Smiling
Spinning 'round and 'round
Holding hands
The whole world a blur
But you are standing

Soaked
Completely drenched
No rubber boots
Running in us
Want to erupt from a shell

Wind in
And outdoor smell of your hair
I hit as fast as I could
With my nose

Hopping into puddles
Completely drenched
Soaked
With no boots on

And I get nosebleed
But I always get up
(Hopelandic)

And I get nosebleed
But I always get up
(Hopelandic)

As I said earlier, disebabkan most of their songs are sung Volenska or Hopelandic, jadi lirik ni tak semestinya accurate. Whatever it is, their lyric masih meaningful to me. Hope you enjoy the song.
